What can I do for free?

Creating an account, building your campaign, and testing it with a shareable preview link (view-only, no login needed) are all free. So are keeping drafts for 30 days (extend with one click) and AI features (20 free uses per day). You only pay when you publish — for the days it's live and the spots you add.

How is the price calculated?

You pay for the days your hunt is live plus what you add: days ($20/day for 1–30 days, $12/day for 31–90 days, $8/day for 91+ days), spots ($40/spot for 1–10, $30/spot for 11–20, $20/spot for 21+), surveys ($40 each), and categories ($60 each). Prices start at $60 (1 day + 1 spot).

Is there a participant limit? Does the price go up with more people?

No limit, and no per-participant fees. Your price depends only on the days you're live and the spots you add, so you don't need to predict headcount. Whether 50 or 5,000 people join, you pay the same.

What payment methods are available?

We accept credit cards. Payments are processed in your dashboard. Prices are in USD, with no additional taxes or fees.

Can I pay by invoice or purchase order?

Not at the moment. Payment is by credit card only, and we can't accept invoices, purchase orders, or bank transfers. You can download a receipt for every payment from Account Settings in your dashboard.

Do you offer refunds?

No. Payments are non-refundable. Before you pay, you can build your scavenger hunt and test it with a preview link for free, so you can check everything first.

Can I add content after publishing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During your publish period, you can buy extra days, spots, surveys, or categories from your dashboard. Your existing content stays as it is.

What's a preview link?

Accepted Answer

It's a view-only link you can share before you publish. Anyone with the link can open your campaign without logging in — they can look around, but can't check in or answer surveys.

Is there a limit on the number of campaigns I can create?

You can create unlimited drafts. Building and testing are always free.

Can I customize the Application Form?

To protect privacy, the standard Application Form only collects a nickname and an email address. If you need more, such as names, addresses, or phone numbers, you can use the Linked Application Form at your own risk — you're responsible for handling that data. Entries are written directly to your own Google Sheet and aren't stored by Petanco.

Can I customize the design?

You can change theme colors, fonts, menu icons, QR code styles, and layouts from your dashboard. We don't take custom design requests.

Can I build a scavenger hunt on my phone?

Yes, but a computer or tablet works best.

Does time spent building and testing count toward the publish period?

Accepted Answer

No. Building and testing drafts are free and unlimited. The clock starts only when you publish. Be sure to download your event data during the publish period or within 30 days after it ends.

What happens when the publish period ends?

Your campaign automatically returns to draft and is kept for 30 days. We'll email you reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the publish period ends, and you can keep the draft for another 30 days with one click (free, as many times as you like). Only the campaign settings (the draft) can be extended. Participant data (stamps, survey responses, prize entry details, etc.) isn't covered by the draft extension — it's automatically deleted 30 days after the publish period ends (for campaigns created on or after October 1, 2026). Download any data you need within 30 days after the publish period ends.

How do AI features work and how many free uses do I get?

AI features such as content generation and translation are free for up to 20 uses per day. After that, you can buy credit packs (100 credits for $40, 500 credits for $130).

Do you offer support on weekends and holidays?

We'll fix system issues promptly. Questions from participants should be handled by you, the organizer.

Do participants have to enter personal information?

Accepted Answer

Petanco collects only the personal data it needs. With the "No Login" type, participants need no app download, no sign-up, and no personal information at all. With "Easy Login", the only data we hold is an email address — names, addresses, and phone numbers are never collected. Participants are asked for their age group and gender only when the organizer turns on the Age Group / Gender survey presets. We never collect usernames or where participants live.

What personal information does Petanco store?

For organizers, only the email address registered at account creation. For participants, only the email address registered with Easy Login, age group and gender answers when the organizer asks for them with survey presets, and the email address entered in the Application Form. Credit card information isn't stored by Petanco.

Question 19

Can organizers see participant email addresses?

Accepted Answer

No. Email addresses registered through Easy Login cannot be viewed by organizers, and age group and gender collected with survey presets are visible to organizers only as aggregated statistics. Email addresses entered in the Application Form are visible to organizers so they can contact winners, but Petanco never uses those addresses.

When is the personal information you collect deleted?

Participant data (stamps, survey responses, prize entry information, etc.) is automatically deleted 30 days after the campaign's publish period ends (this applies to campaigns created on or after October 1, 2026). Even if you end the campaign before the publish period is over, the 30 days count from the end of the publish period. If you extend the publish period by purchasing additional days, the 30 days count from the end of the extended period. Extending the draft retention period doesn't stop this deletion. Download any data you need within 30 days after the publish period ends. Campaign settings remain until the draft retention period (30 days, extendable with one click) passes. Organizer account information is deleted after a set retention period (normally 90 days) following account deletion.

Could the personal information you collect be used for other purposes?
